Skype teams up with Coldplay for new Mojis

Microsoft announced today that Skype has teamed up with Coldplay to bring you new Mojis. They will center around the band's latest album, A Head Full of Dreams.

Check out this video where Coldplay finds out what a Moji is:

Microsoft says that the animations found in the new Mojis are unlike "anything we've seen before, or seen elsewhere." Lead singer Chris Martin said the following:

Often in the studio we have a room where we go and paint and draw and stuff. We think about the artwork as the music is coming, at the same time. What’s also cool is the artwork for this album has lots of little motifs anyway… so they lent themselves for use on some of the Mojis.

This definitely isn't the first time that Skype has teamed up with a third party for new Mojis. Earlier this year, the company worked with Sir Paul McCartney for new love-themed Mojis. In June, it created a new collection of Mojis to celebrate powerful women.

If you're a Coldplay fan, today is your day. The new Mojis haven't shown up for us yet, but they should be available soon. Make sure that Skype is up to date by going to Help -> Check for Updates.
