Snap introduces an app for Windows 10, but not Snapchat

Today, Snap introduced Snap Camera, an application for Windows 10 and macOS that integrates with your webcam. The idea is to allow you to include the company's Lenses to your streams and video chats, or any other photos and videos that you capture with your PC.

You'll get to have your pick of "thousands" of Lenses, and new designs will show up from the Lens Creator app, which is also available for Windows 10 and macOS. Snap says that it also has a custom integration that's made for streaming with Twitch.

Snap's most recent earnings report was yesterday, and the firm said that it's recently lost two million users from the last quarter. Expanding to more platforms seems to be a strategy for growth, but sadly, there's still no solid way to post to Snapchat from your PC.

Snap Camera is available for 64-bit SKUs of Windows 10, and it requires an Intel or AMD processor, meaning that ARM PCs are out of luck. Macs will require at least macOS 10.11. You can download Snap Camera for free here.
