- Now that VS.net is out a lot more apps are going to be coded in/for the new environment. Those who say they don't want to install the .net framework may not have a choice in future. Yes it's 20MB but once you've got it it's there.
I'm on 56K but just scheduled the download overnight when it doesn't cost me anything.
mi Tweak XP is a cracking program especially now mi Trans XP is built in

- this sux.. script error in running the program on freshly installed .net..
heh, what else you'd expect from microsoft.
..it still runs though - but there is hardly anything new here - i was able to do all this tweaks with UI/XP/X-setup

- I installed the .net software also with errors but i fix it by installing the latest MS Data Acces Component 2.7. But the tweak software is not better than XP Customizer.
I immediatly uninstalled it

- FIRST OF ALL, FORGIVE ME FOR THESE CAPS BUT:
This proggy is a real pile o' shit!!!
I downloaded the 19 meg .net stuff, then I installed this "nice little proggy'.... After that all I could see was a couple (well, maybe a couple of couples) of tweaks, which I am really able to apply WITHOUT using miTweakXP, but just from inside Windows interface! Moreover, they guys offer you some really strange hints, e.g. how to speed-up booting with the help of turning off automatic updates
and the like, or how to make your CPU run faster when processor scheduling is configured for background services rather than for programs (The stuff inside the advanced properties of 'My Computer').
In one word, I would recommend something more productive, like X-Setup or MS Powertoys, but you'd better read some guides (e.g. at 3dspotlight) and you'll be able to do it all MANUALLY!!!

miTweak-XP is one of Viettre.NET featured software that is in its development phase. The primary goal of miTweak-XP is to help the end-users who are running Windows XP to unleash the hidden features of Windows XP that your system's performance will be maximize and give you the maximum speed. Because miTweak-XP uses the latest programming technology of Microsoft .NET framework. Therefore, its usablity and stability is very high.
Features:
Super-Net has overcome these problems by implementing Nortel's Quality of Service on Ethernet switching.
QoS allocates priorities to some streams of data so critical applications get higher priority during periods of network congestion. To test the difference in performance, CeNTIE loaded Super-Net lightly at 9Gbps -- roughly the same as Sydney's phone system traffic at peak-hour.
Then, without using QoS, it put the last 1Gbps in, so the network was totally congested.
"First the video freezes, the haptics disappear, then the remote end starts wobbling and jerking and you're wondering what the hell's happening," Dr Economou said.
"Then we increase the QoS for the video stream and after about 10 seconds the video resyncs and bang, you've got video. But the haptics link is still broken so we increase the priority on the haptics traffic and bang, it's working again.
"The critical applications have a high priority so they're getting through no matter what."
The 10Gbps Ethernet will become very important in the next few years.
It's competing head-on with Sonet, the current standard in metropolitan area networks, Dr Economou said.
