Thanks Alexander and chirs - kind.

Mirc 6.02 is released. Find out whats new below - it says a bunch of bug fixtures and new features.

View: Whats New
Download: Download Mirc - not yet listing the latest version - though im sure it will be up in due course.

"What future versions of Night's Edge will hopefully offer:
  • Unique playmodes not seen in any other game.
  • As many as 6 firing modes per gun.
  • Wide variety in weapons, armor, cybernetic enhancements and other gear.
  • A huge proposed equipment list.
  • Weapon attachments, such as silencers, flashlights, laser sights, scopes, and red-dot sights.
  • Advanced player preferences.
  • Additional server options to facilitate tournaments and competitions or even control the level of technology available.
  • The ability for players to vote.
  • Plans to include customizable character attributes.
  • The full equipment list contains over 70 distinct weapons, 7 grenade types, 6 kinds of explosives and mines, 5 available attachments/options for weapons, 19 kinds of ammunition, 4 different armor types available for 4 areas of the body, 28 pieces of gear, and 48 cybernetic enhancements. We'll be starting small and adding as the mod progresses.
Our main focus at the beginning will be on 2 or 3 of our additional playmodes, though we hope to implement over 6 in the end. If possible, each map will support multiple playmodes by being versatile and adaptive.

Inventory can be manipulated either through typical next/prev buttons or through a number of powerful menus that let players perform tasks just by clicking the mouse. Although players do move slower the more they are carrying, there is no set limit on weight. Instead, each character has a set number of slots in their inventory, and each piece of equipment can take up either one slot, a fraction of one slot, or several slots.

Pre-made scripts are easy to get, without having to spend hours at a computer making your own. Not everyone can spend several hours at a computer, and not everyone is interested in learning how to script in mIRC... so give those of us who don't have the patience or time a break. Creating your own script isn't going to suddenly make you cool, or l33t... that type of status isn't earned sitting on your @$$ at a computer. And whether or not you do decide to make your own doesn't have anything to do with your masculinity... Being a man does not include sitting at a computer for several hours creating a mIRC script. As for script preferances, I'm going to have to say Peace & Protection is one of the best out there... I've used tons of scripts, and the only one (that i've used) that has ever come close to PNP is called eXtreme. But use whatever floats your boat.

MTS works fine on 6.02, prior to whoever said it didn't. Hell, i even did a /theme.load this morning to change to some new one that i saw on mircscripts.org. You probably have an old version of mts.

This version of mIRC is extremely disappointing. Almost as soon as I opened it up, I found 4 bugs. Horrible.
