Shoshanna Lonstein, Fashion Designer - SHOSHANNA Believe it or not, today's women are starting businesses at twice the rate of men. Take Shoshanna Lonstein, for example, who created the SHOSHANNA fashion collection. She took a dream and turned it into a multi-million dollar business by using her business-smarts and fashion know-how. Now her fashion line is in more than 200 specialty stores nationwide, including Scoop and Fred Segal, as well as Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Lord & Taylor. Of course, to manage her successful business, she uses her Mac and all the great applications found in Office v. X.
Perhaps you know someone who, like Lonstein, started her own business and achieved success armed only with her Mac, Office, and her own gutsy determination. Or maybe you know someone who works for a small business and dazzles customers every day with her creativity, drive, and savvy. Tell us!
Shoshanna Lonstein, the 27-year-old designer and founder of SHOSHANNA, changed the look of dress departments nationwide when she created matching ensembles for her business's November 1998 debut. Her initial foray into design, an appealing combination of a sundress, bag, and thong, was highly regarded as feminine and whimsical with an attention to detail rarely seen in contemporary fashion. She now designs clothing for every season, from string bikinis to cashmere sweater sets. And behind the scenes, supporting her creative work, Lonstein relies on Microsoft Office v. X for Mac to take care of business.
Lonstein has served as a contributing editor in Cosmopolitan Magazine and is presently a lifestyle reporter for "Today in New York," the tri-state area's number one morning show. Cosmopolitan Magazine recognized her as "Fun, Fearless, Female of the Year" for 1998. Lonstein and her fashion line have been featured in Time Magazine, T.V. Guide, and Vogue.
