UPDATE: Thanks to Playboy ('u da man!') for giving us the details on changes that was made in this version.

Thanks artificiallife for the heads up. The program launcher "Y'z Dock" like the dock of MacOS X is released. This application is a beta version. Since there are still some bugs present, please send me your feedback on any bug you may find. But please understand I may not be able to reply to all of your emails.

In order to add icons, please drag and drop a file (.exe, shortcut, etc) straight from Explorer to the dock area. In order to delete an icon, please drag and drop the icon out of dock. Place the PNG images for your icons in the icons folder. Right-click on the icons in the dock, choose 'Property' and choose your icons images there. Right-click anywhere on your dock background and choose 'Setting' to change the settings that apply to the dock itself.
    What's New:
  • The option of auto-hiding the dock had been added.
  • The option to position the dock at the top of the screen has been added.
  • The option to change font type, font size, font color and font border color
    has been added.
  • A puff of smoke now appears when an item is deleted from the dock.

Aqua-soft is now located at http://aqua-man.net. Hosting issues made them change their domain.

This is better than MobyDock. Runs smoother in my system and I've been using it since first posted. Love it.

Will any of these dock programs ever give you the option of not putting them on top? Great program, but I don't want it to appear when my mouse goes to the bottom of the screen unless I'm at the desktop...
#9.1 aGeMo on 12 Nov 2002 - 19:16
Just turn the sensitivity up on Yz dock so you have to hover your mouse at the bottom for a second before it appears. I think it's pointless that you have to go all the way back to your desktop inorder to launch an application from the dock.

Yz's dock is the best out of all of the dock programs. Run's fastest and smoothest yet: I liked those so called docks until I recently reformatted my harddrive and decided to give the start menu a whirl. I actually use it for once. It comes with xp and everything I need is pinned to it. Now why would I want to waste more resources on an eye candy dock that does the same thing? Now if it was exactly like OSX's dock, yeah I would use it. The ability to have menus from icons is even more useable. Until they do that in Yz's dock, I will stick to the start menu.

how do you delete something from the bar?
#13 mimeryme on 13 Nov 2002 - 03:58
to delete, just click on the icon till it dims and then drag out of the dock. poof.

need to be able to add items by another way then dragging them on. need to be able to delete with right click. the dragging thing is buggy, sometimes i get icons off the dock but not gone... should have a tray icon since its hard too access the config with icons moving all over... need to be able to add remove seperators.
#14.1 nicedreams on 14 Nov 2002 - 00:10
I think those suggestions for perfect Twist. Thanks for the help on deleting. from post before

noticed a few more things. - its a huge cpu hog. mine jumps too 100% when i mouse over it. probably lotta loops. - screws with powerDVD when power dvd is full screen. fine with winDVD though...

Wow...this dock is quite nice.

I like it so far. I wish it supported the programs/or links standard windows icon as well as the nicer PNG format. Even if it does look like crap if you make it to large, it would still be nice. I guess I demand a lot from my betas. I really love how it consumes 0% of my CPU when I'm not using it. That is why I stopped using MobyDock.
