Thanks gam_EZ for the heads up. AOL on Thursday has released its latest BETA version of Instant Messenger program, AIM. According to AOL, AIM users will be seeing the following new features: IM Forwarding, and Send IMs to Mobile Phones
IM Forwarding Have Instant Messages delivered to your cell phone, when you're away from your PC! With AIM 5.2, you can be online, all the time, anywhere. Register your cell phone with IM Forwarding, and you'll continue to receive your IMs after you sign out of AIM

Send IMs to Mobile Phones Now you can send instant messages to your buddies' cell phones. Just add their mobile numbers directly to your buddy list, or type their number into the IM form.

This is BETA software! Please use caution when installing it on your system.

The company separately offers Sun ONE Grid Engine, also free, in versions tuned for the Solaris and Linux operating systems. Support is available from Sun for Sun ONE Grid Engine.

All together, corporations and educational and research institutions worldwide have used Grid Engine or Sun ONE Grid Engine software to create about 6,500 computing grids, she said.

Grid Engine Portal, like Grid Engine and Sun ONE Grid Engine, is available free based on the Sun Industry Standards Source License.

You'd think that they would update their interface a bit... This client looks so outdated.

Yeh I agree. I'm a beta tester for AOL 8.0 here in the UK and the interface for AOL companion is smooth, you'd think they could do that with AOL IM. Before I get flamed - I'm not an AOL user, it's my girlfriend's account

That is a sweet feature though. Too bad I'm using Trillian or I'd be all over this release
