Ahead Software, the makers of Nero, the technology leader in CD/DVD recording, today announced a powerful plug-in for the Windows Media Player 9.0 Series. This exciting Nero plug-in provides full-speed recording and Nero reliability, all from within the Windows Media Player. It is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows 98.

The Nero Fast Burning Plug-in enables the Windows Media Player 9.0 Series to burn CDs at full speed, up to 26 times faster than before, greatly decreasing the time it takes for each burning session. In addition, the plug-in will provide Windows Media Player 9.0 users the option of eliminating the two-second gap between audio tracks.

"Nero has always been synonymous with quality, and Ahead Software has developed a reputation as the leading CD/DVD software development company," states John Tafoya, Vice President of Business Development, Ahead Software Inc. "The winning combination of our high-quality Nero Fast CD-Burning Plug-in and Microsoft's Windows Media Player Series 9.0 provides a powerful tool for the consumer market."

How do you use this plug-in? I don't see anything in the Plug-ins section of WMP 9.
#5.1 roddy2000 on 13 Jan 2003 - 15:48
it seems to me that WMA Plugin and WMP Plugin are different things... the 1st is support for WMA Audio in Nero, the 2nd _will be_ for CD Burning in WMP

whoever wrote this article is a numbnutz. this plugin doesn't do jack sh|it in windows media. it's a plugin for Nero to decode WMA files. either that or the download links are incorrect

It allows you to burn WMA (Windows Media Audio) files to a CD in Nero which converts it to WAV for playback on a normal CD player on the fly.

Screw anything to do with with windows media player except for watching vids. Which I don't do much of anyway. Big, bloated, hole infested, insecure, slow a** program.

Funny, my copy isn't like that at all. You sure you're not just refusing to use it because it's M$ and it has "required" DRM?
