Actual Window Decorations offers you all the terrific features from three of our award-winning programs, combined and integrated into one outstanding new program.
    Actual Window Decorations lets you:
  • Minimize icons to the Tray instead of to the desktop by pressing a new button on your title bar. Or roll up and unroll windows into handy, visible title bars instead of icons.
  • Set any window to stay on top for visibility by pressing a new button on your title bar.
  • Add a useful and gorgeous transparency effect ranging from 0% (fully transparent) to 100% (solid) to any or all of your windows, taskbars, menus, or other familiar desktop components.
You can configure any individual window with whatever features suit your tastes. Change the way you work with windows for the better. You can save your settings for whatever works best for you. Your settings will remain permanent until you change them again.

Screenshot is misleading. THe window rollup does not look like that screenshot. It just disappears. does not do any neat animation like the screenshot would lead you to believe. I think it would be neat if they did do what the screenshot did or maybe just scrollup into the title bar.

I wish Windows would just change into Open Source. With all the supercool mods & hacks out there it would be so easy to have teh funkiest system...

I bet the transparency option eats system resources too.

I wish they'd provide some kind of sys requirement info, but overall, my experience with Actual Tools' transparency has been really, really good. Alternatives like Glass2k are a nightmare on this box (1Ghz/240MB), but Actual Tools' Actual Transparent Windows program is sweet. Right now, WinAMP, mIRC, ICQ, Opera, Dreamweaver & my taskbar are transparent -- ATW is only using 5mb of RAM & the CPU usage is extremely low. Actual Windows Decoration will probably run about the same... gonna try it now. runs about the same, tho RAM usage is a wee bit higher, 7mb

I think I'll stick with power menu...at least that's free

Transparency features always eat up resources, a lot of resources. Anyway I'd like to see where my taskbar is anyway.
