Snapping to grid and guides has been added to the vector tools; please report any issues you encounter.

If you have missed some of the earlier updates and are updating from Beta 1, 2 or 3, please make sure that you read the release notes for the builds you skipped.

The Beta 5 installer will remove any existing PSP 8 registry entries when run. In addition, workspace files saved in previous beta version cannot be loaded into Beta 5. You may wish to do a screen capture of your workspace before uninstalling Beta 4.

Well I bet all software has many different alphas and betas before final. The developers just don't let people try them. So when a developer does let you try them, it seems like a lot and people get anxious for the final version which seems to take forever. But really, if you never knew a certain app was in the works, and all of a sudden it came out as a final, you'd never know how many alpha and beta releases there was and you'd be all excited that a new version came out.

right but i was actually just asking a simple question and not trying to make a point. i'm just curious how many betas they have scheduled before RC and then RTM. just curious how much longer i need to wait to get the final

I use Adobe Photoshop 6 but I don't like the really long load times. Is this faster? I just use photoshop to make pictures for webpages, make pictures smaller for internet viewing, and that stuff. Please help. Is the beta good?

Paint Shop Pro is a lot faster than Photoshop. For your use, it's functionalities should be more than adequate.

Although I havn't tried the newer betas the first one was just as slow to load as Photoshop. If you want a nice fast loading graphic editor get Paint Shop Pro 7 or erlier.
