Y'z Dock 0.7.0 has been released. There are performance improvement in this version and some new features. Read more for the changelog.

[Bug fixes]
  • A shortcut dead link error message will no longer appear when there is a dead shortcut in a folder menu.
  • Fixed setting of 'Always on top' not to load upon Y'z Dock reboot.
  • Fixed some minor bugs.

[New features]
  • Improved CPU and memory usage.
  • The Dock can now be docked to any edge of the user screen area.
  • The settings dialogs have been reorganized.
  • The ability to lock item movement and deletion of items has been implemented.
  • Implemented to cancel an item dragged by the ESC key.
  • System icon support.
  • .ico file support. You can now use both .ico files andor PNG image files for your program shortcuts on the dock.
  • The icons folder now supports deep sub-folders.
  • You can now add a text file inside any of the icons folders to include any extra information (artist name, copyright information, etc.) pertaining to the icons in each folder. The text file that is placed in the folder will be viewable in the 'choose icon' dialog window. You can see this new 'Extra Information' feature if you look at the iconsBrights folder through Property of Dock ItemChange IconPlease Choose Icon dialog.
  • A drop shadow can be simulated in a background image. Please see backgrounds/default/bg.png and backgrounds/Brushed Metal/bg.png for the templates on what the image must look like to achieve a drop shadow type effect, and also see the bg.ini file for the specific tiling settings.
  • Dock can be easily assigned to any position of the screen edges in the SettingsPosition tab dialog. You can also fine tune the position of the dock when choosing the Top-Left, Top-Right, Left-Top, Right-Top, Left-Bottom, Right-Bottom, Bottom-Left or Bottom-Right settings by using the 'Margin' slider to further move your dock's position.
  • Folder menus now support 32x32 pixel icons by using the SettingsMenuIcon size.
  • The ability to show or hide file name extensions within folder menus has been implemented.
  • Enabled the ability to hide andor edit the label for "Show in Explorer" for a folder menu.
  • The ability to choose the icon image quality in the reductionmagnification process of the dock has been implemented.
  • The ability to choose the icon image quality when moving the mouse over the dock Dock has been implemented.
  • The ability to choose the number of iteration movements the benchmark test will perform has been implemented.(10 times/100 times/1000 times)
  • A confirm dialog no longer appears when files are dropped into the RecycleBin Docklet.
