Just a quick newsbit, Mozilla 1.4 RC 2 has been released for the general publics consumption :)
The keyboard is significantly smaller than that of the original Treo. The keys have a dome shape to them intended to make typing with thumbs easier. It has an integrated digital camera and will be able to send pictures via wireless e-mail. It will also play MP3 music files. The only thing we see missing is Bluetooth, and that can easily be added in a later model if the market demands it.
It will run Palm OS 5.2 and will come in versions for both GSM and CDMA wireless phone networks. On the CDMA side, you can expect Sprint PCS to be a major carrier--as it has carried the Treo 300 for some time and has a history with Handspring.

apparently, 1.4 has 'thousands' of bugfixes and changes over version 1.3, with just 2 or 3 bugs left before final build is released.
FINALLY.
More fixes and stuff to do yet: Link
Release 0.1 is coming soon according to developer chat.
Good Thunderbird site.
Thank You.
slow? 1.3 and prior, true, it was slow. 5 or so seconds to load. hard to compete speedwise against IE and the fact its PRE-LOADED into every XP bootup! but 1.4 versions boots up in under 2 seconds, and thats WITHOUT the turbo-launch option which can make it load in a split second.
so, i concur with comment about you being an ignorant fool
you retards are the ignorant fools
mozilla is slow as hell. There is not a single feature thats in mozilla thats not in MyIE2. tabbed browsing? popup blocker? mouse gestures? plugins? myie2 has it all. it loads EVERY page faster than mozilla (ie that is). it uses less ram and cpu. it loads faster. what in gods name could you ask more for?
how about you idiots stop being so ignorant, and realize that microsoft has put out a superior product with IE. dont try to be ONLIEN REBELZ by using mozilla. youre still losers.
Have fun.
yes.. and im sure everyone visits w3c's gold style page everyday.
so what if w3c purposely make that menu that doesnt work in IE. so what if its the "standard". the point is, as long as people can see the sitse load up properly, people are going to use IE. they dont give a rats a$$ if the html was not standard. the page loads fine, the user is happy.
Do youthink webmasters have anything against IE? NO. All webmasters (good ones) including myself despise opera/mozilla/whatnot. The sites always look fine in IE, but then you have to go and make adjustments for the retards that use other browsers.
Let me tell you something about "standards". standards are, whether you like it not, set by the kings. when it has 95% market share, if you page is standard compliant but doesnt work in IE, thats YOUR PROBLEM, not ies. You go fix that up so the world can browse you page properly, not complain that MS wont follow standards. MS SETS the standards, not w3c as they have you believe.
And for god sakes, go get some benchmarks off google. Every test has proven IE is faster, and uses less resources than its ugly mozilla cousin. and with MyIE2, there is no reason whatsover to use mozilla, unless like i said before, you like feeling like an ONLIEN REBEL because youre so popular in real life.
Yeah, most people might end up using IE, but that's only because Microsoft integrated their browser with the Windows Operating System, which Microsoft forced the major computer manufacturers to include with their PC's! Microsoft is losing ground with the Mac market since they halted development of IE for Mac permanently thanks to the quality of Safari, which is a combination of Konqueror and Firebird.
As for performance, I use only a 500 MHz Pentium III and Mozilla loaded within 3 seconds! It takes about 8 - 10 seconds to load up IE 6 and this is using Windows XP. Nearly all the web pages loaded up faster in Mozilla, thanks to the Gecko Rendering Engine, which was developed by Netscape. As for the pop-up blocking, IE is the only browser not to use it and it never will. As for the plugins, nearly all web browsers used the Netscape Plugin System and Microsoft's Internet Explorer wouldn't have survived without Netscape's technology. But then again, the ActiveX development took over and eventually, many of the companies used Microsoft's propietary code. So if you're dissing Mozilla because it was branched off of Netscape, you are blind!
Besides, if Mozilla keeps on with this development, Microsoft's IE might have to surrender even in the Windows market.
