Stardock has released SkinStudio 4 beta 2 to the general public. SkinStudio is a freeware program that allows users to create their own visual styles for use with WindowBlinds.

Beta 2 has a ton of new features including:

  • Support for toolbar icon creation
  • Support for progress animation (copy, move, delete, download, etc.) creation
  • Advanced Coloring of pieces of a visual style
  • Enhanced support for importing of .msstyles to be edited in Universal Skin Format
  • Fast browsing of all skins installed on a system
  • Ability to edit multple skins at the same time
  • New welcome dialog to walk a user through skinning

SkinStudio also provides an enhanced version ($19.95) which enables users to import pieces from other skins as well as make use of pre-created GUI "widgets". SkinStudio Professional ($29.95) adds Windows Media Player skinning support (the only program available that can create Windows Media Player skins visually).
