As you well known that Longhorn UI was great, with new stuff and new resources for the UI. This download will make Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 look like Longhorn. Windows X made the Longhorn Transformation Pack which changes resources and some graphic designs to look like Longhorn.

This time its a big update in version 4.0 because you can choose what you want to change or not or which build you prefer to change. Click read more to see what can it do and what's new in version 4.0

Changes in Version 4.0
-Added Install Options dialog to let user customize installing Longhorn Transformation Pack
-Added Longhorn PDC Bliss and Aero Grass wallpaper
-Added Slate, Longhorn Aero, Plex Style MCE and Plex M3 theme
-Fixed Precaching system files replacement problem about boot screen while run this to configure
-Fixed install checking error problems
-Updated Longhorn SideBar 3.0 with Aero PDC skins

Longhorn Transformation Pack Functions:
-This program can choose Longhorn type for each section like Start flag, Progress dialog login and ToolBar. There's Aero, M4, M6, PDC or Don't change it
-THis program can customize additional installation like Longhorn SideBar and Aero ToolBar type
-This program can check Themes services to let user enable or disable this Themes.
-This program can detect setup files beforce run program to avoid system file replace problems
-This program can use on Windows XP build 2600 or build 2600 with SP1 build 1106 and Windows Server 2003 build 3790
-This program can test sharing violation to avoid system file replace problems
-This program will apply Plex Style with new taskbar and Longhorn screensaver after restart. You can change it yourself and choose other Plex themes and wallpapers
-This program is not recommend for multi-language edition of XP. (However, you can use it)
-This program can use rollback function by run setup again after restart (get previous OS files)

LUCKLY I MADE A RESTORE POINT BEFORE INSTALLING... because after reboot it didn't start again

Maybe is only for Windows XP english version.... don't know

hmm i downloaded .. but after reading .. wont bother installing now ... I'm happy with the slate pdc visualstyle ... at least that works bugless on my pc ..& i prefer working pc to non working pc

but .. if the vs have all been updated.. hope they are released as seperate packs.

I'm not sure what this does where can I find some screenshots? Anyone else try the auto cleaner program on th website? Seems very useful but I don't know how safe it is.

theres a screenie here at http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=114674&st=30 ... but I wont be installing it ... Im not messing around with my current system outside of changing visualstyle (and Windows X VS slate pdc style is really good so I will continue to use that, & smartbarXP).

...however... i like my pc to work as good as it generally does each day.. and until i read more positive stuff about this package ... i wont bother with it ... after all .. its not like the world is gonna end if i dont install it or something ...

I don't like to have a script that does the whole thing for you.. I would rather have a batch file that users know what's going on with that transformation pack.

The version 3 messed up my system badly. and WindowsX didn't reply me with a list of files that his pack modified.. his pack also deleted a number of my system files, including a few of my screensavers.

I suggest all of you not to download it until WindowsX releases the installation script.

i wan't so lucky. my system is COMPLETELY hosed (i'm writing this from my laptop.) first i had to re-extract ntoskrnl.exe. now, i just get bsod. safe mode? nfg. last know good config? nfg. i'm going to try a reinstall over, but i think i'll just have to blow the whole thing away and start over. lot of good creating a restore point did me...

i HATE windowsx and the guy who runs it. jerk...

comp is comepletly ****ed over now. Trying to use recovrey console to get the msgina.dll restored but it does not help. Now going to try some other things... use fuvking caution before dling this prog...

Well, my system is working! But the pack didn't work quite right and somehow the restore point I made moments before installing the patch, as well as every restore point that was made before today, are gone... so I'm gonna have to reformat to get my system back up to spec since I don't know what's going on inside anymore.

If possible, I want to see some screenies of the what the pack will do before I try it again.

Well, I got my system back useing the recovery cosole to Expand Shell32.DL_.

If you have not installed this ugly mod, then just dont. It will either be ugly, or **** your comp up.

First, I installed the Aero by default, that's OK, But the toolbar and fonts and colors are uglily

Next, I uninstalled and reinstalled by PDC, wu..., it can't finish the copying; I reboot the windows, it can't finish the booting.

final, I booted the system by the cd and rename the *.lhtmp files to *.exe and *.dll.
So, you see, I can post now.

Play it carefully, gentlemen!

I've found that there's some buggy about installing without boot screen option. For guys who have trouble about ntoskrnl.exe, just install it with boot screen option and goes fine.
