Thanks Courage and AgentEcks for this. Hotmail Popper is a small application that allows you to check your Hotmail account e-mail from a normal POP mail client (such as Eudora, IncrediMail, Mozilla Thunderbird, Opera, Netscape, etc). Unlike standard mail accounts which allow users to retrieve their e-mail through a POP mail client, Hotmail can normally only be checked on the web. With Hotmail Popper, you can use your favorite POP mail client to retrieve your e-mail from your Hotmail account. In addition, Hotmail Popper allows you to send e-mails through Hotmail's service, as if it was a normal SMTP (outgoing mail) server.

Changes:
  • New installer with smaller download
  • Fixed problem when starting Hotmail Popper as a service using 3rd-party launch tools
The trial is fully functional but will expire after you upload and download 100 messages. If you choose to purchase Hotmail Popper, the cost is $17.50.

Codename: Dashboard is an application that resides at the side of your screen, containing a set of components (or "panes" or "tiles"), giving you up-to-date information about whatever you want.

A group of pre-made SNP and third-party components is available for installation. With some .NET programming ability, you can also make your own. Codename: Dashboard 2.0 includes documentation with full details about how to create your own components in C#, Managed C++, Visual Basic.NET, J# or Delphi.NET.

LOL WHY WHY WHY would any one pay for this software?
If someone loves their hotmail email that much, they can use some
other free alternative program to download their mail through pop3
Or they can pay the same money for their hotmail email and get legal
pop3 access plus some extra space.

The Longhorn version or Outlook Express does not have Hotmail support... I have heard that they are removing support for Hotmail in OE.
