The alternative Mac OS X browser to Mozilla and Firefox just got even better! Camino 0.8 adds performance, stability, and rendering improvements to a long list of easy-to-use features.

What's New:
  • Click-hold session history menus on the Back and Forward buttons
  • XSLT support
  • Startup speed improvements with a large bookmark set
  • Security fixes for Mac OS X protocol exploit
  • Tabbing from URL field to Google Search field works correctly
  • Improved bookmark importing
  • "View Frame Source" correctly displays the frame's html instead of that of the frame set
  • New keyboard shortcuts for switching tabs that work better with non-US keyboards
  • More bugfixes and general enhancements to the UI and Gecko rendering engine

Jesus H. Christ, calm down kiddos!
I don't have a problem with Camino (I use it on PearPC), but I wasn't aware that Neowin was posting news on OSX software.

As for you two, you guys kiss your mothers with those mouths?

looks sweet... as much as I like Windows, XP programs don't look as good as the Mac when they're done right.

I've been using it for a while now, Camino is my favourite browser on the Mac, followed by Firefox... I'm just not a big fan of Safari, I just don't like how it feels, and don't get me started on IE for the Mac.

Looks pretty nice. I've never used Camino or Firefox on the Mac, but Firefox on PC owns.

Quote this comment #8.1 Posted by Amerk_5 on 24 Jun 2004 - 06:26
Camino & Firefox are just web browsers while the Mozilla Suite is a web browser, mail client, HTML editor.

Camino is just developed for the Mac while Firefox and the Suite are multi-platform (Windows, Mac and Linu

Also, Camino uses native widgets (Cocoa) while Firefox and Mozilla use XUL...so Camino feels more like a native app on the Mac...
