DesktopX is a program that enables users to add widgets to their desktop or change their entire desktop environment via themes for the DesktopX environment.

Popular DesktopX widgets include weather monitors, stock tickers, media players, clocks, and other "mini programs". DesktopX widgets are .EXEs which means they can run without running the DesktopX environment. DesktopX tends to use less memory and CPU resources than other similar programs.

DesktopX has a free version as well as an enhanced version which costs $19.95 to register.

Wow, I wasn't aware something that was released a few days ago was old news worthy.

Not everyone knows everything that happens on the internet at all times like you do apparently

Thanks for the heads up!

Well I wasn't sure when it was released, it says Nov. 2004 so I just said a few days ago. It could have been released 25 minutes ago according to that description!

Yeah people are weird. DX being free and using less ram isn't enough I guess
