It is indeed the exact same file: same date, same build number; identical. I guess somebody make big joke.

ROFLMAO!! DAMN, that was funny!!

Well, maybe not that funny.

1.0, then 1.1, then 1.0 SP1, then 1.1 SP1 for Windows Server 2003, now 1.1 SP1 for all solutions (including Tablet PC, Win XP, etc).

This came on my Windows Update CD I got last year.

I think every time Microsoft moves a file around or updates their site, they change the published on dates. You can't really go by those.

This is the oldest news in Neowin so far. I cannot remember "news" that is around 1 year old to be posted here before!

The publish date on MS site is 05/31/2005 so they must have done something with it.

that's what happens when you hire lots of people.... they get bored and re-release something just to get more hours on the payroll... Just Kidding
#15 jak0bk on 01 Jun 2005 - 23:51
Regardless of the date on the MS website... Neowin dropped the ball on this one. It appears they just look at dates and then copy and paste some text from the originating website.

Blah.

I'm glad I saw all these comments. For a few minutes I thought I was either going mad or was having some sort of Groundhog 9 Months - my WU log shows I installed this on XP SP2 on 3 September 2004.

Yup, I clearly remember getting this 1.1 SP1 last summer (2004).

Why not post 2.0, for God's sake?
