Thanks to gaekwad2 for the heads up in the forums.

Coming Soon: Multi-user profile support (preliminary support enabled)

Yey, but what wxactly is preliminary support? I'm using a plugin for that right now, its great but doesnt seems to work very well, so native support would be just great. But what exactly is currently supported?
I'm worried if it will conflict with my plugin.

Edit: Well never mind, I finally found a post about it in the Winamp forums. As it is disabled by default it wont interfere at all. I still wonder if it will conflict if the plugin I use.

the way they're heading with all this bug-fix oriented patches, they'll eventually run out of bugs to fix since no new features are being added.

There are new featuers in this version. The multi-profile thing plus musicmatch.

The musicmatch is pretty nifty IMO. It does a pretty good job at selecting songs that match the mood you're looking for. It takes it a long time to completely process all your songs, it goes through three phases to fine tune it's selection process.

I found that most fixed features ain't used by me so I better off stay at 5.1, but anyways great news.

Winamp 5.111 Released

If you were experiencing crashes with 5.11 (especially with the auto EQ feature on), you'll want to upgrade to 5.111.

What's new:
* Fixed: works with internet explorer 3.0 again (old win95/nt3.51)
* Fixed: Auto-Preset EQ crash (non-mp3 files)
* Fixed: $upper, $caps, $caps2 crash with foreign characters
* Fixed: Station Info crash (with http filtering program)
* Fixed: empty playlist bugs
* Fixed: [in_mp3] proxy ignored when ‘only port 80’ was checked
* Fixed: [in_midi] lyrics not working

I have posted this to the software news section.
