SubRip is a program that allows you to rip DVD subtitles with their timing as a text file. The goal is to allow you to translate the subtitles in other languages, or just use them as they are. You can also rip subtitles as BMP in the goal of putting them on a SVCD (for viewing on a stand-alone DVD player) or on a homemade DVD. SubRip uses an OCR algorithm which the creator, Brain, has created in his free time.

What's New in This Release:
  • Added support for negative timestamps. It'll show a warning that some delay needs to be added to synchronize, and start with 00:00:00,000 as the first subtitle timestamp.
  • Added support for using the file offsets from .idx files. It does not seem to help with badly-formed subtitles and screws up some good ones, as the file offsets seem to be bogus, so it's not on by default.
  • Fixed a few bugs.
