Change your Windows icons with IconPackager 3.1. IconPackager is a program that enables users to change nearly all icons on Windows at once by applying packages. It incorporates into the Windows shell itself to add new icon changing functionality to Windows itself! There are hundreds of existing icon packages available to choose from. Don't suffer from ugly Windows icons a day more.

IconPackager 3.1 adds:
  • Sub-Packages. This is a new feature that enables icon authors to provide several sub-styles of their icon package. For example, a sub-style might just have different folder colors from the main style which can greatly reduce disk size and make it easier to have more flexible icon packages.
  • Added support for Media devices icon to folders.
  • Added support to several new Control Panel icons.
  • Fixed bug with favorites icon saving/loading.
    X64 support
  • New Control Panel section for changing the icons in Control Panel.
  • Fixes to lots of reported issues from 3.0.

last time i tryed it, it made a mess of my system.

stardock or symantec, they both should stay well away from any windows os you want to keep atleast somewhat usable...

or you could just learn how to use a pc.

i have to agree with GuidZilla. I've used Stardock products for a long long time through many new installs and many existing ones, and I've yet to encounter a problem that makes my system unusable.

I've used Stardock products for years, and hitmark is on to something. There have been some nasty issues with Stardock software, looks like code quality is not the most important item on their agenda --maybe the Desktop Pet is... :-)

Actually, some of their programs run nicely on my computer, but others have been a real hassle....so don't shoot the messenger even if he carries bad news....

I've been using IconPackager for years, and WindowFX for months, and neither have ever been a problem.

I curious to see what's been improved in this version. There are a few niggles that bug me.

Finally for Windows x64! Too bad the un-enhanced version does not actually support it yet! (Not till January or so according to the Setup error)

IconPackager messed up my system when I installed it after a fresh format of Windows, but it ran well before I reformatted. Think this new version fixed whatever was causing the problem?
