CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less that a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware!

Finely a secure file deletion option.

Heres another link to it as the other 1 wasn't working for me.

Sweet! I can't get enough of this program.

I just ran the NSA (7 passes) secure deletion. It's cool that the option is there. I'll probably keep it on 1 pass unless I feel like I really need to get rid of something important.

Personally I think we should stick to keep track of official releases by CCleaner.

Anyone using WinXP x64 & got "Open CCleaner... option to Recycle Bin context menu" to work?
Mine doesn't show up when I enable that option.

you are taking a big risk if using it on XP x64 edition. it doesn't support it and will f**k up the registry.

I like the new secure deletion feature. It was one of the only missing things!

Great utility, but I'd hate to see this kickass app go down the snakeoil path.

*sigh* DOD NSA?! OMG I MUST BE SAFE!

Have a read, and be enlightened:
