Do keep in mind the fact that, unlike Google's product (which was, afterall, announced after MS announced their idea of desktop search) you can narrow search queries down a lot more. For example, I can search for just music files on my PC, and, when I find some, I can see the other tracks that are in each of the returned songs' album.

Just to put this comment in perspective. Google shipped their beta *2 weeks* before we shipped ours. Do you really think we copied them in that amount of time? No, the Find My Stuff team had prototypes over a year before that and development of what became WDS began long before we had any inkling that Google was going to release their half-baked desktop product.

Ah, the typical knee-jerk reaction of the Microsoft-hater/Linux-zealot. How... uninspired.

I have used WDS for several weeks, and it's really convenient for me to seach my PDF Files (Afilters) to finish my papers.

We will have it. Not as soon as I'd like, but we will.

Superb tool. "Instant search" is a life saver. But anyways, Ive been having problems with this version. I previously had WDS 2.05 (the one that comes with MSN Search Toolbar). With the new version Ive noticed that it is slower when indexing files than v2.05. Anyways, its a great tool.
