My contact tells me Creative is preparing some new Beta 2 content. Creative X-Fi users (of which I am one) will be delighted to hear that Beta 2 drivers are imminent - scheduled to be released in early July. Owners of other devices that were supplied with Beta 1 drivers should expect Beta 2 drivers sometime in July - Creative will be releasing more accurate release dates in the near future

Not THAT official, but they were right with the X-Fi drivers coming out.

Hey go read some of the complaints in their forums, under soundblaster.. here is a post with over 1,000 replies so far about when they will bring out drivers to fix their problems under xp.

We would like to update all Sound Blaster X-Fi users that are experiencing the popping/crackling issues with the very latest news on this issue.

We have been working extensively with a large number of systems and the vendors of those systems to diagnose and find remedies for reported symptoms of audio crackling and distortion, particularly during game playing. bla bla bla

the new driver does not even fix these issues, and if you have the original drivers, they will tell you through auto update, you don't need the lastet fix, cause as your reporting its to fix problems in vista... wow great eh, a driver for a beta os. Fortunetly for me, i only bought the xfi music edtion and i have had no problems with noise, unless you get a cell phone in the room. And there are only i think 2 games that take advantage of the top of the line card xfi fatality with memory.

Is it just me that thinks Creative writes some of the most shoddy drivers in the business? I love the quality of the X-Fi but i'm sick of all the silly bugs (and occasionally BSODs) their drivers bring..
