Many members of the Neowin Community have taken time out of their busy schedules to help out with a new project known as Shift. The aim is to create a Live Linux CD that not only promotes Neowin, but also helps everyone involved learn more about the inner workings of the Linux OS.

The Shift Linux team is now proud to announce that version 0.2 of their distro is now available for download and testing. This version introduces Fluxbox as the main window manager, and a greatly increased hardware support. Whilst this is still a beta version, the team is very proud with how things are coming along!

Good job people!

I was wondering if there was a package installation thingy, or we have to compile from source?

I spent hours helping barneyt with my server so that it could host the Shift project, only for another website to be used for the offical download link.
