Weird. I submitted this the day it was out and it never got through. Ah well.

NOD32 2.7 seems stable to me.

Maybe you wouldn't have the appropriate info. Whatever. As they say at the official forum, in a few days they will distribute it, over the automatic update system. But if you are curious, you can download it providing the username and password they sent during the registration.
NOD32 is perfect IMHO.

nope, it was good the way it was. if I can't have Nod, then I'll just not use an AV, it's just not wort it for the disadvantages most other AV's come loaded with.

disadvantages?? I can see Norton, but I have to say I've had perfect luck with Avast and PC-Cillin.

I'd have to say you're lucky then, many others have, myself included.

Nod32 FTW!

I'm not the only one. There's a reason why Trend Micro holds the market share in Gateway viral scanning products.

Updated ;D

Just updated it now, easiest and quickest update ever!!! I have a 3 year subscription, money well spent IMHO

I can't see how people can be so happy with AVG or AVAST. I tried them, AVG didn't auto update and after uninstalling AVG and installing NOD, NOD found 2 infections that AVAST let slip!!
#6.1 briangw on 22 Nov 2006 - 01:00
Because I found viruses with PC-Cillin that NOD did not find.

No AV is perfect, esp. when some companies write definitions before others.

Cool, downloading now. NOD32 rocks. I was hoping as i payed for it, i would get a vista copy also. so it is g8. Thanks for the update.

Why dont the 2.5.x series autoupdate to the 2.7 version ? Or will this happen over time?
#11 Id Hit it33 on 22 Nov 2006 - 15:47

#12 CrisCr0ss on 22 Nov 2006 - 15:51
i think the offical version is 2.7.16 Which is what i currently have and its running smoothly. I had problems with kaspersky (latest version which i believe is 6XXXXX) + Kerio so i reverted back to Nod32 + Kerio.

And im pleased
#13 alien2xx on 22 Nov 2006 - 17:16
NOD32 loads just fine and it appears to run but if you look into the eventviewer you will see the message that corresponds to it, so I dont think it runs as weel as it looks... just FYI

The application (NOD32 Standard Edition or Antivirus System, from vendor Eset) was hard-blocked and raised the following: NOD32 Standard Edition or Antivirus System is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, contact Eset

When it comes to antivirus programs, I think it's a question of either NOD32 or SAV - and SAV isn't really for consumers (we're forced to install it at school, which is good), so NOD is really the best consumer antivirus out there.

I haven't been comfortable with the reletively new anti virus system like nod32 or kespersky. I am a mcafee user for 2 years now and well pleased. It provides very good protection against viruses and spywares and ad wares.
#15.1 +Raa on 25 Nov 2006 - 00:09
I'd have to say that you should move outside your comfort zone and discover something better, faster, and more reliable.

Having used Mc-coffee in the past (includes recent versions) and still having to clean up customers machines, Nod32 definately gets my vote!
