MuvAudio2© converts the audio of most audio/video files which are playable by Windows Media Player© into MP3, WMA, OGG, MP4, FLAC, WAV and more. New Features in v2.5.0.0:
  • Added support for Windows Vista© (32-bit).

Aren't there tons of free transcoders (not even mentioning players with transcoding ability)?

You are right on that one, but read a little deeper into the post and you'll see it's not a "transcoder", keyword, "real-time" x 10.


Interface aside, it's just what I need for letting me listen to my music on my car mp3 cd player.

Umm, using foobar+lame or Winamp (or CDex, or...) I also get 10-14x realtime speed (depending on the source).

True, but 10x-14x realtime by transcoding is not the same as 10x realtime (realtime) where you are recording 10 songs at the same time by recording them while they are playing (technically slower), which is what this does, but this allows you to convert audio that transcoding cannot. That's what I meant by "reading deeper".
