- DownThemAll and Firefox? Great combination yet no extra resources taken. Not so bloated either and compatible with every OS. Who still uses MSIE unless for updating only?

Oh, just ~80-90% of the market. Hardly anyone...
I just gave Orbit a try and I really like it. You can hardly complain about resource usage with it. While downloading it was using around 3MB on my system, and at idle it's using a whopping 530k. Firefox extensions do use resources by the way.

- This is one of the slimmer download managers out there.
dTa is nice, but not quite there yet.
Obviously, just give it a try. If you don't like it, uninstall it.
I think all the Youtube/streaming media download and metalink support are worth it.
