Lets hope that this version doesn't nick file associations, even when you have deselected them (like 7.5.9.0A did).

Let's hope this doesn't crew up Vista like the earlier versions either

im still using 6.6.1.4 as i think it's better than nero 7 personally.... 7 removed a feature i once in a while used and that was "audio + data" cd (in nero express)

plus nero 7's download size is WAY to big for a damn burning program.

195 MB WTF? Whatever happened to the best burn software since I stopped using it at v6.x ??

What is Nero Clean Tools?
#5.1 +Tikimotel on 18 Jan 2007 - 18:09
old nero products must be removed before installing version 7... the clean tools check this and can clean leftovers.

It would seem Neowin has linked to the trial versions.

I dunno if you can use the trial to update an existing installation of Nero 7, but you can go to ftp.nero.com/software/Nero7/update/ to download the update versions.

Yes, the trial can be used to update the full version.

Nero used to be so good... Now it's just as bloated as Norton Antivirus
#8.1 h3xis on 19 Jan 2007 - 03:30
It's only as bloated as you make it out to be. If you just do a Typical install of course it will be bloated, however if you do a Custom install and take the time to remove the stuff you won't use/need it won't be.

Which not everyone will have the time or bother to do. It's time consuming. We just want it installed now..so Ashampoo burning Studio has won it's place on my computer will be on it for a long time.

Because you don't have 5 minutes to spare to properly install a piece of software?

Yet not even doing that allows you to remove that Nero Scout thing. No idea what it does, but I'm 99.99% sure that I don't want it.
