This comprehensive, all-in-one suite is a tightly integrated set of advanced security layers that, together, create the most secure protection in the industry. Uniquely engineered to prevent threats from getting on a PC in the first place, it has won more major awards than any other security software on the market. The suite combines the robust security features computer experts demand with automatic functions that make it simple enough for novices to use.

Latest Changes:
  • Product set-up process has been redesigned and shortened
  • A pre-scan has been added to the start wizard that scans the user's PC for program files, compares programs with ZoneAlarm's SmartDefense Advisor database, and applies policy to said programs, both legitimate and malicious
  • The UI has been refreshed, with new ZoneAlarm/Check Point branding

The big size of the free version is likely due to it having already included the whole suite (also about 38meg). Just need valid key to unlock features.

The new version use Kaspersky engine, which is a nice change from CA anti-virus.

I would advice to wait for next minor update which should come soon; the first release of new version is usually very buggy; this is definitely no exception judging from the zonealarm forum.

Oh great. I want to install the free firewall but I have Kaspersky 6.0 installed. Is there a way I can install it anyway?

Zone Alarm is crap. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a real firewall.

Any suggestions, then? I've tried the ZA + AV on the new 7.0, and it false-positived the HELL out of the Radmin client I use to control my server (and never mind the fact that every time I re-booted the PC, the Windows security center told my the AV was out of date...)

I'm using NOD32, and I'm not about to give that up
