The standard nForce 4 AMD drivers for Vista 32bit are here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce4_amd_w...ta32_15.00.html

works great of my laptop nforce 410/430 with my geforce go, it fixes the problem in device manager in vista64 for unknown coprocessor.

took nvidia WAYY too long though, there werent even any betas that i could have used.

Yeah the last driver for nforce4 (the old amd version) came out in june I think and before that there was one from 4 months earlier.
I have no exact dates but you get the picture.
Great news if they work well, especially good for people with raid arrays, I suppose

why is that a problem.

I have a Gigabyte GA-8N-SLI mobo, and it has an nVidia nForce4 SLI edition northbridge chip.

I presume that I can safely install the relevant files, and everything will be ok.

eh? I'm using a Gigabyte 965P-DS3
I don't think it's using an nforce chip

It doesn't use nvidia, it has an intel express chipset. You can download the drivers from the intel site: http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/p965/index.htm

or, the gigabyte site. they do have vista drivers.

Thanks again, though

I did add the nForce 680 drivers to the original post, but they're gone :
#5.1 vetSlimy on 07 Feb 2007 - 01:03
They were the same as the second ones.
#5.2 DjmUK on 07 Feb 2007 - 02:15
Version numbers and filesizes are the same, but the .exe download address and files are unique:

- nForce 680i (32-bit)
- nForce 680i (64-bit)
- nForce 680a (32-bit)
- nForce 680a (64-bit)
#5.3 vetSlimy on 07 Feb 2007 - 04:47
The links you submitted were identical.
#5.4 DjmUK on 07 Feb 2007 - 11:18
Yeah, sorry about that. The original post did have identical links - then again, not many people out there have the 6 series yet (but one day I'll be on there, hopefully).

#7.1 tronmaster on 07 Feb 2007 - 02:31
OmegaHack just to confirm this is from the other link in the thread? I have an Asus nforce 4 motherboard, guess I won't try it just yet.
#7.2 OmegaHack on 07 Feb 2007 - 03:10

works on nf3??

Why can't I check NCQ. My hard drive does support it, it worked in XP.

#9.1 DjmUK on 07 Feb 2007 - 03:14
These are the Vista drivers, and as you know, Vista isn't 100% yet. Maybe it's protected by Vista permissions, or maybe the next set of drivers will fix it.
#9.2 wired57 on 07 Feb 2007 - 06:32
works fine for me. I'm able to enable/disable command queuing

OMG, I read in a forum ( I think Neowin) that installing motherboard drivers deactivated their windows...well I think they're right. Installing these made me reactivate, that is completely unacceptable!!
#10.1 +warwagon on 07 Feb 2007 - 06:53
click, done!
#10.2 DjmUK on 07 Feb 2007 - 11:20
Yes, as Windows considers a Motherboard a major upgrade a.k.a. a new license. But on retail versions of Vista Ultimate allows for reactivation.

This is now common knowledge all over the web.
#11 ACTIONpack on 07 Feb 2007 - 05:22
If your going to install this nForceware drivers for Vista you will need to reinstall your video card drivers.
#12 diabulos on 07 Feb 2007 - 05:41
I have a dfi nf4 ultra with a 64 X2 at 4200, is this for me?
#13 wired57 on 07 Feb 2007 - 06:32
Seems like these improved my system performance again, woot.
#14 Islander on 07 Feb 2007 - 10:32
These drivers are still not working as they should. I installed them on my nForce4, and the SATA/IDE drivers are not installed at all. If I install them manually, they don't work correctly. Oh my god, what the hell is nVidia paying their employers for ? Thanks god it's not my company. And no one forces me to ever buy again a nVidia mainboard.
#15 SBeaver on 07 Feb 2007 - 21:48
After installing the sata driver manually, the disks now became SCSI disks and they are all set to PIO mode.
I'll have to rollback I guess.
I think the network driver was the only one that installed like it should.
What a shame.
