According to Messenger Plus! Live’s official site, the recent availability of Windows Vista means “that there is no more reason for not making sure Messenger Plus! Live runs perfectly with this new operating system”. Development for Vista began last year but the program’s author has been waiting for the final release before he can make the last tweaks to the latest version. Patchou began version 1.0 of his now very successful program back in May 2001 and has since continued to single-handedly develop his creation for a constantly growing userbase.

If everything goes as planned, Messenger Plus! Live 4.20 will be out by the end of the month. The new version will also include the winning scripts of the last contest so that all of you can enjoy these fine creations. A private beta testing period will also be set-up, as usual (no need to send requests, the beta testers have already been chosen, sorry).

The only problem I've noticed with Vista is that when tabbed chat is enabled, you don't get highlighting / flashing taskbar buttons anymore. Has been reported and hopefully will be fixed in the "Vista version".

Sure thing . As I said in my news post, almost everything already works well in Vista as this was taken care of last year. Version 4.20 will just make the whole exprience more enjoyable in Vista.
