Bittorrent did not buy uTorrent. They just bought the code that uTorrent runs on because it is, by far, the most efficient Bittorrent client out there. They got the rights to use and modify the code to implement on the official client, not the uTorrent client.
They're going to use the uTorrent code on the official bittorrent client. They cannot change or influence the development of the uTorrent client.
What I really hate is that Neowin never looked at the facts in this matter, nor even looked into the uTorrent forums to seek an explanation.
