With Vista Codec Package installed, you shouldn't need to install any other codec or filter. Many user suggested default settings are implemented. Vista Codec Package does not contain a media player and does not associates filetypes. With this package installed, you will be able to use any media player to play DVD's, movies and video clips such as quicktime, realmedia, avi, mpeg, Flv, swf, wmv, etc.

MAJOR CHANGES to the Installation Architecture require a clean installation - DO NOT UPGRADE

What's New:

· 23% reduction in the distribution filesize
· Startmenu shortcuts organized into folders
· Stop QuickTime checking for updates on Vista
· Updated the FFDshow components to t926 unicode
· Add Orban-CT AAC/aacPlus Stream Parser
· Fix subtitle displays in x64players-MediaCenter
· Remove fccHandler ac3acm.acm to resolve conflicts
· x64 codecs/filters mapped and defined separately
· x64Components is now a standalone installation...
