This is basically Systemworks and Internet Security in one package, with one price tag, giving people the ability to completely **** up to three family computers for an entire year?
Where do I sign up?
All the ignorance around here is astounding. What are you folks? 15? 16?

I call BS.
OK. Name some Norton SPECIFIC problems you've encountered. Ones that weren't caused by improper installation or usage. Which versions, how old were the versions, was the hardware capable of running it properly.
I remember when I took my IT admin job in 2002, I was greeted with bugbear and few others...can't recall the names.. on all computers in network and Norton on each of them(~60 cmputers). My previus colegue was sacked because of its inexpertise, his fault was partially for beleiving in Norton. Needllessly to say Norton was uncapable of getting bugbear out, so first thing I asked Financial departement was for Kaspersky4 license. With some work from my side Kaspersky wiped out every bugbear copy.
experience with norton dates back to:
All Norton versions dating back to 1999, when I started dealing in computers.
*edit:
...this was meant to be a reply...sry.

I remember when Western Digital drives back then were considered lawsuit fodder. Now they are among the best in the industry.
NIS 2006 was great. NIS 2007 is even better. I had problems with NIS 2004, 2005 was somewhat better.
I tried McAfee then, it trashed a year's worth of Outlook folders.
They have improved the products greatly but folks here are NOT actually using them, they just "Noton sucks because everyone else says they do"
There's obviously still a large surplus of totally clueless people, or Symantec would've gone out of business long ago.
MS realized this and sells their Onecare crap to also make money from this bulk of clueless people.
but having upgraded by pc to 2.8ghz pentium-d and 1gb ram.....i have not had any slow-ups ever with either 2006 or the current version.......
one finds such horror stories quite imaginative...
