That's just your experience. Other people might think it blows, you know.

erm... whats the changes? Vista compatibility? The release notes only go up to 6.6.1.13 not 15. Can't stand Nero 7 but will keep it untill 6 is on vista

Nero 7 isn't that bad if you do a custom install and uncheck 80% of the application components it wants to install.

Yeap, exactly. That's what I did. All you really need is the Nero Burning Rom engine.

It's kind of amazing how crappy and bloated Nero got. It makes me wonder wtf is going on with that company.

I want my Nero 6 to work with Vista (Nero 7 is crap).

It's the same thing as disabling all features but "Nero Burning Rom" in a Nero 7 Full Installation

Their changelog is hard to find. They don't keep it up to date like they should.

Hi,

Don't forget to rename

%CommonProgramFiles%AheadLibSpecialOffer.exe

to something else (such as SpecialOffer.ex_) to prevent the annoying upgrade icons appearing on your desktop.

If you upgrade from an earlier versions this file is restored to your system again.

Regards

Simon

Has anyone checked to see if this one has been updated to work properly in Vista?
#9 castlerain on 13 Mar 2007 - 18:45
It actually tells me that that it's not Vista Compatible during install and that I should go check Nero.com for a newer version....

Look around there is a version of 6.6.1.6 around somewhere, its oem - might even be available via nero.com not sure about vista compatability though - not sure if you're allowed to post links but if you google nero 6.6.1.6 oem and take your choice you'll do ok
