Google Earth is a free-of-charge, downloadable virtual globe program. Want to know more about a specific location? Dive right in -- Google Earth combines satellite imagery, maps and the power of Google Search to put the world's geographic information at your fingertips.

Main Features:

* Fly from space to your neighborhood. Type in an address and zoom right in.
* Search for schools, parks, restaurants, and hotels. Get driving directions.
* Tilt and rotate the view to see 3D terrain and buildings.

I wish these pages would link to the download page instead of the executable. As a Mac user, downloading an EXE isn't much use...

Also, NeoWin sends me to GoogleEarthWin_EARD.exe, whereas Google sends me to GoogleEarthWin_EARV.exe. I wonder what the difference is...

And this is the precise reason why I always download from the actual main site and NOT from any direct links from any Windows site (especially with the ZoneAlarm fiasco that's going on right now).

EDIT: Just download from Google itself, got GoogleEarthWin_EARD.exe. Still, various Windows sites do link to differently-named and unpublished files so I'd rather check the homepage and download from there.
