Halite is a open-source BitTorrent client and is based on the excellent libtorrent library from Rasterbar Software. What makes Halite stand out is its remote control interface allowing you to monitor and control the program from a mobile phone. Hailte is written in unicode so it will only run on Win2k or higher.

Features:

While still at an early state of development Halite is a functional BitTorrent client. So far its list of features is pretty standard but that is because I want to ensure it does the basic stuff well.

That said, it supports:
* Multiple downloads
* Displays more detailed information for the selected torrent

* Connection limits both global and per-torrent
* Transfer rate limits again global and per-torrent
* Minimize to tray with transfer rate summary
* Association with ".torrent" files
* Option to limit the number of instances to one
* Estimated time remaining indicator

I am trying this one, it's really simple bittorrent client, only one file like uttorent, doesn't eat PC resources very much, for now onlu 4-5MB of memory and 0-2-4 per cents of CPU (AMD Athlon XP 2000+).

But the GUI isn't complete as I would like to see... utorrent is really better, but this one has little speed jumps, which gives a bit better speed results... But you are not going to feel it...

This is junk, Options dialogue is lacking in many areas, I loaded up a torrent in utorrent and the speed was awesome when compared to Halite. This program has a long way to go, providing it actually survives.
Stick to utorrent people

OK so this client has the potential to be a real nice one someday but at this point it's not usable and probably dosen't need to have every minor update posted to the software section until it actually is.
Right now you would be better off using any other bittorrent client that is not this one, I guess, is what I'm trying to say... but someday, maybe in several months, the author might then want to tell us about his 1.0 or 0.9 or something build which could in fact be right up there with uTorrent or Azureus, the potential is definitely there, but its just missing alot of stuff that obviously just isn't finished yet, so why show it to us now?
