Wasn't version 7.8.x.xx posted a while earlier? What's the difference?

Less trash, but not Vista compatible. I'm still waiting for the 7.8.x.x Lite :/

If all you want to do is to burn CDs and create labels, then Nero 6.6.1.15 is perfectly compatible with Vista. I've had no issues with it at all on Vista Ultimate 32bit.

Can't find the release note for this version.
But thanks for this. I hate that damn bloated nero 7 . For the God's sake what on earth are they thinking. I loved nero for the small foot print in the system, as opposed to the other solutions at the time.

LE: HAHAHA!!! I found out what the change is - they added a "free" Ask Toolbar, nice one. They must think we are stupid.

and the other changes:
Version Number: 6.6.0.15

(Changes from Package #1, Version 6.6.0.14 ? 6.6.0.15)

Release Date: July 7, 2005
Other Changes/Bugfixes

* Using UDF1.02 as default file system if media is DVD-R DL
* Optimized string translations
* Used disc space was indicated wrong on multisession disc in Windows Explorer
* Wrong track length was shown for audio CD compilation
* Improved handling of dynamic content for printing LightScribe labels
* Playback in a audio CD compilation if multiple files are selected did playback the first file only but infinity
* FreeDb database import skipped files larger then 1MB during import of the Internet database

No! They've always done two downloads, one with a toolbar and one without. This "a" release at this present time only has the bundled toolbar download on the servers.

Doh!

cool... i take it there going to keep updateing this program so we dont have to update to crappy nero 7?

Nero 7 as an entire package may be crappy, but the core product (Nero Burning Rom) is the best ever. Much better than 6 in my opinion. Just uncheck all the other fluff during installation.

you maybe be right but... one of the main reasons i aint using nero 7 is cause it dont have a feature i use once in a while in nero express... the "audio & data" cd creation.

But the big question is ... Does this version work with DVD Shrink?

Yep, wot fuzzieb said! Has anyone tried this with DVD Shrink yet?
