- And yet, Winamp has worked properly for me for years. Has it not for you?
That makes me think they just have a great attention for detail when patching it.
(note that many entries may not be easily reproductible, but have special circumstances to trigger them) -

- well, the low amount of bugfixes in a program does not mean there are no more bugs left to fix ... the fact that many bugs are being fixed for winamp "might" mean that its getting more solid. and... its "beta" ... so bugfix is a very natural thing.

- I think part of it is that WinAMP itself is just a framework, components can be buggy without affecting the entire program.
I use WinAMP for one reason over every other media player : the UI.
