I agree and the whole GUI a massive step in the wrong direction.

Just installed the new version. Absolutely NO DIFFERENCE between this version and old version, except can not connect to update!! Adaware is nothing more than a cookie/mru checker anymore anyway. Very seldom use it.

An effective GUI design can completely change a customer's opinion of a product, and conversely a horrible GUI design can render a product virtually unusable.
FYI, there is an entire business sector that focuses on usability, GUI design, and graphics design.
Lavasoft clearly has never heard of or used these services though.
