thats becos of the poor detection rate....norton not only eats resources...but is an incompetent piece of software....people are fooled by its looks.... people have his conception that mainsteam software is always better..
I'LL NEVER BE IMPRESSED BY NORTON...DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR...TRY THE KASPERSKY INTERNET SUITE..its the whole package and darn good.

their new suite uses a whole 7MB of RAM
And still reduced one of the only two computers I had the latest version successfully install on to running like setting glue. Their programming skills are just impressive!
