- The best free anti virus around. Simple,easy to use,low on resourses. You can disable the email scanner if you use web based email for even lower resourses.

in terms of detection it sure isn't the best. antivir is. -

AFAIK Antvir pro is, but not the free version of Antivir. -

AFAIK Antvir pro is, but not the free version of Antivir.
it's the same engine.

- I've been using AVG Free for 2 or 3 years now and it works great. If you keep the definitions updated daily you don't need to worry whatsoever
