- Any idea which engine is this browser built on? Is it proprietary or just another Internet Explorer shell?

- From the screen shots, it looks like a scaled down version of Maxthon, which means it uses both the IE and Firefox engines. So yes, just another shell.

- I hope it's better than their English! On the very first paragraph of their website, on the homepage:Quote -TheWorld Browser is a fast, safe, completely and easy way to browse the Web. It can take you max page compatiabilty with more features.
Try it now, it's no third software addon, and absolutely free!
I never trust software from anyone who can't even string a sentence together, or who doesn't have the intellect to realise they can't, and then fails to ask someone who can to do it for them!

It's called translation , the orginal site is in Korean/Chinese/Japanese/another (excuse my ignorance) see here Home Page IOAGE.
I never trust anyone who jumps to the wrong conclusion ! -

- I'm pretty sure it's Chinese. Not Korean signs though, and it links to different Chinese sites; wouldn't think a Japanese company would do that..

Why bother to translate if the translation is that awful anyway? It just looks wholly unprofessional. There is no excuse, despite you seeming to want to find one.
As a potential user, I would read the site and feel if the site is that bad, then the software is likely to be that bad too. I'm guessing you've never tried to sell software for a living. Attention to details make all the difference in this very competitive arena. Especially the browser sector, where you're competing with companies who know what they are doing. -

um....erm..isn't the browser free ??
and I never said it was an excuse , more a reason , there is a difference.
Maybe you could offer to translate the page into english that makes more sense ? No ? thought not. -

The difference is, those people had the brains to ask someone in the first place. If, on the other hand, you're asking me to ask them if I can translate their site for them; get serious.
And where did the "isn't the browser free" comment come from? Because it's free, quality doesn't matter? Wow, please don't ever go into sales or marketing field. You'll kill your customers.

- I'm using it now and am pleasantly surprised by it. It "feels" like Maxthon (my favorite IE shell for the past few years), but at an amazingly small footprint. It's almost like the guy who developed Maxthon did this.
And yeah. The English on the website does no justice for the it. Don't judge the software by its translation... -

I agree with you. Our English is not good because English is not our language. -

I bet your English is much better than my Chinese! Great work and maybe some contributor can help you repackage it for the English market. It's a great start. Good job.
