  • Configurable bandwidth scheduler
  • Global and per-torrent speed limiting
  • Quick-resumes interrupted transfers
  • RSS Downloader
  • Trackerless support (Mainline DHT)

Agreed, one reason for uTorrent's slick size and resource usage is that it doesn't implement heaps of stupid graphics, but use controls native to the OS. So besides violating interface guidelines, it would just bloat it. I'll take a slimmer and more intuitive torrent client before something that looks pretty to look at anyday. :-p Besides, Aqua isn't even a cool UI to begin with... Perhaps 5 years ago... :-p

I wouldn't mind some smoothly animated graphics programmed in microcode (PS 2.0) running entirely on the GPU. But then again, that is quite far off even for Vista.

osx tiger vs vista

Microsoft been talking about 2d on 3d, so it would first be rendered in regular Windoze GUI+ rasterizer, then vectorized and matrixed, bent, and finally anisotropic filtered on the GPU?

eh nevermind, give me quartz and a clean GPU GUI.

Not having a go at Neowin but if you don't like us talking about torrents yet you have news on new clients, isn't that still promoting torrents in some way?

I'd like to see where we prohibit the discussion of torrents. We prohibit warez discussion, not legally distributed files.

Except you deleted my thread and gave me a warn when i linked {in a music section of the forum} to a torrent of my new, un-copyrighted album. Which = "legally distributed files". lol, that was the thing that stopped me using this site, about 6 months ago, it was random i found this, perfect opportunity to tell you to look a bit more carefully before deleting EVERY torrent posted.

Edit: I looked back, and apparently the site that I linked to that I uploaded my torrent to was, in a mods words "an illegal torrent site"

hmm. Maybe you should re-word what you say to users when they post torrents, as well as looking more closely. Torrent sites aren't illegal.

This software has suddenly become actively developed, since it was bought by BitTorrent Inc, who is partnering with major movie studios.
