NVIDIA released another set of official beta drivers for Windows Vista. They are for GeForce 8 line of GPUs, and are available in both 32bit and 64bit flavors, with some more SLI support fixes. This is not a WHQL release, so Windows will prompt you about these drivers not being digitally signed.

Release Highlights:
  • Add support for GeForce 8600, 8500, 8400, and 8300 GPUs.
  • Improved 3D performance for single GPU and NVIDIA SLI
  • Add support for NVIDIA SLI on DirectX 10
  • Numerous game and application compatibility fixes (see below for some of the top issues)
This is BETA software!, please use caution when installing it on your system

what i wanna know is why aint they released a version for the geforce 7 and older cards? cause it's been like nov 2006 since there last release i think.

although i do understand that they need to get good quality drivers for the 8000+ series of cards.... they still should have updated the drivers for the older cards by now like i was saying.

To use this for GeForce 6/7 cards, you just need a modded INF.

I'll be happy when this is final, because I'll finally have a reason to install Vista.

You guys want a beta driver that will install for FX/6/7 series cards with no modified INF? Visit the NVNews forum, they have a leaked 160.03 driver set for XP 32 and 64-bit. Currently running them with no problems so far.
