FileZilla is powerful Open Source FTP/SFTP client with many features. It includes a site manager to store all your connection details and logins as well as an Explorer style interface that shows the local and remote folders and can be customized independently. The program offers support for firewalls and proxy connections as well as SSL and Kerberos GSS security. Additional features include keep alive, auto ascii/binary transfer, download queue, manual transfers, raw FTP commands and more.

Changes in Beta 9 (June 1, 2007)

+ Add "View hidden files" option to server menu
+ Add dialog to clear private data
+ Performance improvements of message log
+ Avoid sending unnecessary TYPE commands
- Updated TinyXML component, fixes problems with filenames containing ampersands or other special XML entities.



- Fix deadlock in sftp component under Windows
- Don't retry connecting if user cancels new/changed hostkey notification

Changes in Beta 10 (June 3, 2007)

+ Fix bug that made Beta 9 unusable

i am a fan of this for a long time too. cant wait for the stable 3.0.0 to come out ! thanks for the update though

@xMorpheousx416 i think at v3 FileZilla is a multi platform application..more testing required i guess.

i used to think this was a geat FTP client til it did not work for someone i know online when he was trying to connect to my ftp server... but when he used FlashFXP (which is my ftp client of choice) it worked first try.

so after this incident i lost confidence in FileZilla in that sence that it will "just work" ... but i guess overall for a "free" program it's pretty good.
