It may be elegant when using OSX, but why the need to employ their own font rendering in Windows? There are a lot of other problems that shouldn't be there. Windows users are used to Cleartype and Safari won't be adopted by many if they insist in forcing Windows users to the Mac-way of displaying and doing things.
Safari for Windows XP or Vista
Safari for Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later
If you bothered to even look, it's obviously not a forced bundle of quicktime and safari.
* Blazing Performance2x Faster - Safari is the fastest web browser on any platform.
Not for me. IE 7 is much faster on my system
* Elegant User Interface - Safari’s clean look lets you focus on the web — not your browser.
Looks good, but if you're using the default XP Luna theme it looks way out of place.
* Easy Bookmarks - Organize your bookmarks just like you organize music in iTunes.
Didn't have an issue with this
* Pop-up Blocking - Say goodbye to annoying pop-up ads and pop-under windows.
Blocked some pop-ups that I didn't want blocked
* Inline Find - Search any text on any website with the integrated Find banner.
Worked alright
* Tabbed Browsing - Open and switch between multiple web pages in a single window.
Only annoying thing is clicking File then Open New Tab
* SnapBackSnapback - Instantly snap back to search results or the top level of a website.
Didn't work for me
* Forms AutoFill - Let Safari complete online forms for you, automatically and securely.
Crashed on forms
* RSSBuilt-in RSS - RSS tells you when new content is added to your favorite sites.
Worked alright
* Resizable Text Fields - Resize text fields on any website: Just grab the corner and drag.
Didn't test that
* Private Browsing - Keep your online activities private with a single click.
Didn't test this either
* Security - Apple engineers designed Safari to be secure from day one.
They must have been very drunk.
It looks dumb and can't do what the other browsers can.
However, it's "parent" talks about how "special" it is, and how it can do some amazing things.
Apple isn't fooling anyone.

lol... Safari's share in its own OSX market is only 50%
Changelogs?
The Safari 3 Public Beta was released on June 11 for Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista. This beta software is for trial purposes and intended to gather feedback prior to a full release. As with all our products, we encourage security researchers to report issues to product-security@apple.com.
Safari 3.0.1 Public Beta for Windows is now available and addresses the following issues in Safari 3 Public Beta:
CVE-ID: CVE-2007-3186
Available for: Windows XP or Vista
Impact: Visiting a malicious website may lead to arbitrary code execution
Description: A command injection vulnerability exists in the Windows version of Safari 3 Public Beta. By enticing a user to visit a maliciously crafted web page, an attacker can trigger the issue which may lead to arbitrary code execution. This update addresses the issue by performing additional processing and validation of URLs.
This does not pose a security issue on Mac OS X systems, but could lead to an unexpected termination of the Safari browser.

This issue does not affect Mac OS X systems.
Im not giving up on it yet, even tho it gives me the dry heaves to look at it. Quite possibly the most unappealing looking POS (piece of software) Ive ever seen.
I can’t understand why people have such a problem with Apple. If you don’t like their stuff don’t use it and move on.
- Opera
- Firefox
- IE7
- Safari(so far)
You think apple wants everyone to just move on when people dont like their stuff? Its called varying opinions and tastes. Im pretty sure Apple does not want everyone to move on just yet. My suggestion to them so far:Guess they meant day two.
* Elegant User Interface - Safari’s clean look lets you focus on the web — not your browser.
* Security - Apple engineers designed Safari to be secure from day one.
They are just bluffing.

A bad things...
* Easy Bookmarks - Organize your bookmarks just like you organize music in iTunes.
* Pop-up Blocking - Say goodbye to annoying pop-up ads and pop-under windows.
* Tabbed Browsing - Open and switch between multiple web pages in a single window.
* SnapBackSnapback - Instantly snap back to search results or the top level of a website.
* Forms AutoFill - Let Safari complete online forms for you, automatically and securely.
* RSSBuilt-in RSS - RSS tells you when new content is added to your favorite sites.
* Private Browsing - Keep your online activities private with a single click.
WOOOOOOOOW.... also you can visit webpages and ftp.
* Inline Find - Search any text on any website with the integrated Find banner.
My spyware toolbar can do it since 2002.
Otherwise, it runes as well as any other browser on two other XP Pro machines with newer AMD's.
i'll rethink about even using the final version sometime...or whenever it feels convenient for em to release such a ''polished'' browser...?
im not happy..and many like myself are pis**d..well done
