I dissagree. I just removed Comodo as I had so many problems with it letting traffic I told it to block in and out. That and the fact that it would ask me about the same things 5 times and then forget them on my next session.
I just went back to ZA free and will stick with it. This is the only firewall I am considering buying the pro version of.

- You need a hardware firewall to stop inbounds and you need a software firewall to stop outbounds.
-
#4.1 Posted by th3rEsa on 16 Jun 2007 - 16:25
- Outbounds you want to block are caused by bad software on your computer, right?
So if there's already bad software on your computer, you should think about the causation, not about fighting its effects...

- Dude I am not talking about myself. I am talking in general. There are alot of people on here who dont know. Ask any expert and they will say you need both. Stop being a jerk.

That's why I'm posting here: to let more ppl know. What is an "expert" for you? Experts don't need "personal firewalls" nor virus scanners, they have Brain 1.0 and a stable security plan. -

- Ever hear of 'drive-by' installers? Or malware infected software from supposedly trusted sources? There's no such thing as a perfect security plan. Even 'experts' need tools for the inevitable accidents that having an online life brings.
I for one would rather have the resources available and not need them than the reverse.

I do agree that Comodo can be a pain asking you the questions over and over. Too many alarms at times.

- i tried this and it made utorrent 1.6.1 disappear. it was still there in task manager. i couldnt start it again cause it was still 'running'. i tried to kill the process. no luck. i uninstalled zonealarm and now utorrent shows up right when i start it. not at all happy with zonealarm (yes, it was set to allow utorrent access, etc)

- U Torrent worked when I tired it. Well I thought I give this a try anyways but went back to Comodo. My pc slowed way down and boot times were twice as long. I like the game mode but thats about it.
