It may be a very good application, but there are more effective free alternatives.

Funny part is the free version has no realtime protection. Spy Sweeper's real time protection is second to none. This newest version has some issues. One all 3 of my computers it freezes everything after boot and trying to do something. Back to 5.3 for me.

I think Spy Sweeper has a brilliant scanner, but since theres many free versions of similar software out there, I can live without it.

Spy Sweeper does collect a lot more of the hidden and remains left over by some other applications, you can't go far wrong when cleaning off someone computer on the cheap by installing AVG, Spybot S&D, AD-Aware, Spyblaster and a Trial Sweep of Spy Sweeper, clean out registry with CCleaner and manually uninstall any remaining crap or defunct registry keys and should be in much better health :-)
